Job description
Macildowie is recruiting a VAT Accountant to join the existing Nottingham head office Finance team of a leading Manufacturing group operating on a global scale. Candidates will demonstrate strong knowledge of VAT accounting and will either be working toward a formal accounting qualification (ACCA or CIMA) or be fully qualified. Candidates qualified by experience (QBE) with strong VAT experience will also be considered. This role could potentially suit candidates from a VAT department working in practice looking to make their first move out of practice and into industry. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, main duties of the role will include: supervision & control of monthly VAT submissions to all regulatory authorities insuring intercompany compliance; representing the business in all discussions with external & internal VAT stakeholders and keeping the department up-to-date of any relevant VAT developments on an international basis; supporting & assisting the financial Accountant with the preparation of all monthly/annual reporting. Applicants will also possess strong interpersonal & communication skills.
