Job description

Hays Senior Finance, Professional Practice is recruiting an Accounts Assistant and VAT specialist for a firm of Chartered Accountants in Norwich. The duties of the role will be to: provide guidance and support to portfolio holders and partners to ensure appropriate compliance on VAT in their client detailing, through discussion, advice and review of computations; to provide consultancy advice on VAT planning for clients; to add value and use innovation where possible, whether directly or indirectly, for example through streamlining procedures, cross-selling, delivering a continually higher quality of client service; to research and maintain technical information for use in advising staff on client affairs, as well as to contribute to technical intelligence, briefings and technical training, delivered internally; to achieve and exceed individual agreed objectives as part of successfully delivering the groups operational plan. To be successful you will be ACA/ACCA qualified and ideally experienced in VAT, via exposure on corporate client affairs or from HMRC office experience.
