Job description
My client, a blue chip retailer, is seeking a VAT Financial Accountant to hold accounting responsibilities including the accounting for VAT in Southern Europe on our retail sales pipelines. It will also include the involvement in multiple simultaneous new cross-functional business project launches that have impact on the Tax function. Key responsibilities include: direct responsibility for improving VAT accounting processes and controls for a company with a high volume of transactions; take ownership, identify process improvement opportunities for existing process and controls, and drive positive change across the organization. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with an outstanding academic background, coupled with accounting experience. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are key, and experience with Italian or Spanish VAT Compliance is desirable.
