North Hertfordshire, Chichester and High Wycombe have more accountants, financial advisors, banks, building societies and all-round financial nous than any other places in the UK, the Bucks Free Press reports.
The high concentration of financially beneficial individuals and institutions in these locations also means there are fewer debt collectors, money lenders and insolvency practitioners.
The statistics come from a survey conducted by internet directory website locallife.co.uk, whose chairman Tony Martin commented: "I am delighted to announce that High Wycombe is one of the most personal finance savvy places in the UK.
"People in High Wycombe are clearly seeking out services and advice to ensure that their personal finances are in best order - and the thriving number of accountants, insurance brokers and mortgage advisors reflects this."
Those towns with poor financial acumen were found to be Newham and South Tyneside.
