It’s been an exciting week for us gearing up for the launch of a brand new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) section of our website. We hope you like it!
As a job site, we support career development by helping you find your next role, but we don’t want to stop there! In order to move onto the next stage of your career you must keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards as well as developing your professional skills and that’s why we’re now helping you to find CPD courses.
Why is CPD so important?
If you’re a member of an accountancy body you are required to back up your qualification by attaining a certain number of CPD hours every year.
There are many ways in which you can earn your hours. You can continue your further studies in accountancy; train on new IT software to help you do your do your job better; attend training courses of various sorts from learning managerial skills to project management and time management techniques.
In other words any learning, training or experience that will help you in your current role or allow you to develop your career can count as CPD.
Most accounting bodies allow you to take a mixture of affiliated training along with informal learning such as reading journals and online tutorials. Check what your membership requires, there are links to the relevant sites here.

To make things simple we’ve made searching for courses very much like searching for jobs. You can search by keyword, date and location, or simply browse our database of course providers.
So, with most of the hard work out of the way (that’s the planning, design and building of the site) there’s just the little tweaks and adjustments left to do and there’s no-one better placed to help us with this than you!
