Homeless man £2,000 richer after finding Paul McCartney's head A homeless man who found Paul McCartney's waxwork head has received a £2,000 reward.

Tony Silva, who was sleeping rough in Reading, spotted what he thought was a Halloween mask poking out of a bin liner.

He did not realise what he had found until he read a paper he had been sleeping on, which said the head had been lost on a train and a reward was being offered.

After begging money for a train fare to London's Abbey Road studios, he was able to claim his reward.

Mr Silva told the Daily Star: "It's just what I need and I hope my luck will change for the better."

Owner Joby Carter said he hoped the head would fetch up to £10,000 at auction.

In other news, a horse had to be rescued after getting her head stuck in a hole in a tree.

Gracie, an equine resident of Pullman, West Virginia, suffered a dislocated jaw and minor cuts in her ordeal.
