Accountancy firm BDO Seidman has announced that it will be known as BDO going forward.
The move means that it will join other member companies in 115 countries under the global accounting network that have adopted this single global trading name.
Jack Weisbaum, chief executive officer (CEO) of the firm, said: "The adoption of the single BDO brand name reinforces our commitment to the BDO international network, even as we celebrate our firms centennial here in the United States."
He also explained that the rebrand will serve as a formality to most of the company's clients, "who have been referring to our firm simply as BDO for many years now".
The rebranding to BDO will be incorporated in all marketing and advertising initiatives when it re-launches next month.
Throughout this year BDO will also be carrying out a year-long celebration of the company's founding by Maximillian L. Seidman in 1910, which will include producing historical podcasts on the organisation's intranet and a commemorative book.
BDO serves clients through its 37 offices and over 400 independent alliance firm locations around the world.
