'No easy fix' to graduate employment issues Accountancy graduates may be disappointed to hear one firm's claim that there is no easy fix to the UK's youth unemployment problems.

Work Wise UK suggested that the difficulty graduates face in pursuing their chosen career path could leave the country with even more issues than it is currently facing.

The Prince's Trust recently said that the nation could miss out on thousands of new professionals such as teachers, doctors, nurses, plumbers and more and Work Wise UK chief executive Phil Flaxton agreed.

"More can always be done, but it comes down to resources and finance," he said.

Mr Flaxton added that the government must make youth employment one of its top priorities going forward to help rebuild the nation after the financial downturn.

"I think it is in the country's interest to ensure that the younger generation do get into work," he explained.

This would benefit both individuals and the country as a whole by increasing the number of taxpayers contributing to the economy.ADNFCR-868-ID-19608415-ADNFCR
