Big Four accountancy firm KPMG has appointed Michelle Quest as its UK head of people.
Ms Quest, who has been with KPMG since 1997 and has worked as a tax partner since 2003, will be tasked with leading the firm's people strategy and policy development.
Speaking after her appointment, she said: "People are KPMG's most valuable asset helping our clients to succeed in these changing times, so I feel very privileged to be taking on this role."
She added that KMPG has established itself as a leading employer and she will aim to build on this and ensure all staff reach their full potential.
John Griffith-Jones, senior partner of KPMG in the UK, said that he was delighted by the appointment, saying: "We know that in order to deliver the best service to clients we need to have the best people."
Earlier this year, KPMG hired a financial management advisory team to focus on infrastructure, government and health.
