KPMG recruits UK head of people Big Four accountancy firm KPMG has appointed Michelle Quest as its UK head of people.

Ms Quest, who has been with KPMG since 1997 and has worked as a tax partner since 2003, will be tasked with leading the firm's people strategy and policy development.

Speaking after her appointment, she said: "People are KPMG's most valuable asset helping our clients to succeed in these changing times, so I feel very privileged to be taking on this role."

She added that KMPG has established itself as a leading employer and she will aim to build on this and ensure all staff reach their full potential.

John Griffith-Jones, senior partner of KPMG in the UK, said that he was delighted by the appointment, saying: "We know that in order to deliver the best service to clients we need to have the best people."

Earlier this year, KPMG hired a financial management advisory team to focus on infrastructure, government and health.
