Investment of £770k attracted by accounting software company To help strengthen its position in the online accounting market, an accounting software specialist has attracted investment totalling £770,000.

An 18 per cent stake of Liquid Accounts has also been sold to a group of local businesses, Fresh Business Thinking reported.

The Yorkshire-based company is hoping to develop its sales and marketing activity using the investment.

It also intends to make the most of the increasing need for cost effective and time saving applications.

Technology entrepreneur Richard Doyle said: "I was introduced to the team at Liquid Accounts through my work with Connect Yorkshire and they immediately impressed me."

The company's managing director Matt Holmes was invited to speak at the CompTIA EU IT Services and Support Executive Forum event in France.

He revealed that Liquid's focus going forward will be on building relationships with young, ambitious accountancy firms who are looking to grow their practices.
