A new finance director is to join Yorkshire Building Society to replace Andrew Gosling when he retires.
Robin Churchouse will take up the position from June, at the same time the firm becomes the second-largest building society by merging with Chelsea Building Society.
After joining the firm as head of finance in 2004, Mr Churchouse became general manager for risk and planning two years later.
Yorkshire Building Society chief executive Iain Cornish said: "Robin has made a significant contribution to managing the risks and planning the society's future strategy during a period of great change for the organisation."
In a first for the firm, Yorkshire Building Society posted an annual loss of £12.5 million last month.
It also recently unveiled its lowest ever headline two-year fixed-rate mortgage at 2.99 per cent with a fee of £995.
