Head of Group Receivables, Billing and Collections
Bolton, Greater Manchester
From £33,700 - £41,800 (dependent on experience) plus a potential 10% bonus and pension
We have an exciting vacancy at our Bolton site as Head of Group Receivables, Billing and Collections.
About the role
With 4 direct reports and overall responsibility for a team of circa 56 people, this is an exciting opportunity to add value and drive positive change within the business unit. With the ability to lead, inspire and motivate, you will liaise with senior stakeholders across multiple business units within Royal Mail Group (RMG).
Working closely with Finance Business Partners, Sales, Customer Experience and Revenue Protection to support the delivery of business goals, you will create a positive environment, shaping the team culture and finding innovative solutions for efficiency and performance.
With your knowledge of relevant financial accountancy standards and background in credit risk and complex billing, you’ll guarantee the Special Pricing Team effectively manage revenue, invoicing and credit control activities for UKPil, that customers are billed correctly for volume related products, and ensure payments are prompt and within the terms of contract and the group credit policy.
About you
We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who can hit the ground running. As a qualified accountant or member of the Institute of Credit Management, your background in finance and/or shared services will give you the knowledge to find solutions to customer issues on credit, billing and payment issues.
Your resilience and tact will allow you to challenge others and deliver difficult messages where required. A strong demonstrable track record of leadership and driving efficiency is a necessity.
While you’ll be familiar with Microsoft packages, additional experience with accountancy packages would be a distinct advantage (eg. SAP).
While based in Bolton, occasional travel to Chesterfield and London will be required.
