We are part of the highly successful Ageas UK Group - and with our business rapidly evolving - we need a talented Head of Finance who wants to make a difference from day one.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and confident commercial finance professional to step into the limelight. This Head of Finance role will help develop the strategic direction for the business and drive it forward through a period of transformational change.

What the role involves
As our Head of Finance, you’ll be a member of the Ageas Retail senior management team and a key partner to the MD. Through working closely with Marketing, Sales Operations, Pricing and Underwriting in particular, you will understand the key drivers and challenges of the business and be instrumental in driving it forward, developing insights into the profitability of the business and have responsibility for managing business performance.

You will also be a member of the Ageas Retail Finance team reporting to the Retail Group FD.

What we’ll need from you
There’s no room for shrinking violets in this highly visible role. You need to be a qualified accountant, with bags of drive and enthusiasm, plus broad financial and commercial experience. You’ll have worked in a similar sized company where you’ll have thrived in the fast-paced environment and learned to expertly juggle priorities and not be afraid to hold other areas of the business accountable for performance. Experience in Financial Services is helpful but not essential. It’s more important that you’re a degree-educated (or equivalent) high achiever who’s up to the challenge. To succeed, you’ll need excellent interpersonal skills, relationship management, experience of driving change, a good grasp of direct marketing and an understanding of regulated environments like ours.
