Description: Our client, a specialist firm of Chartered Accountants are looking to add a Practice Accountant to their Woking based team. With over 20 staff, this is not your run of the mill provincial accountancy firm; they don’t do audit, they work solely with the charity / not for profit sector and they have a pool table in the office.



The firm provides various services to their clients including: Management Accounts, Statutory Accounts, Outsourced Accounting, Year End Support and Consultancy. They are highly regarded in their field and have grown steadily, but considerably over the last fifteen years by providing exceptional service to their clients.



This is a great opportunity for a Qualified or Part Qualified Practice Accountant to join a very progressive firm. Suitable applicants will have practice experience, be ACCA or ACA qualified or studying and will have excellent communication skills and the desire to succeed. Tasks within the role of the Practice Accountant will include, but not be limited to:



* Preparing management accounts for a portfolio of clients where the firm provides a fully outsourced accounts function.
* Managing workflow and accounts delivery on the portfolio, working closely with other members of the team
* Delegating work to Accounts Assistants / Team Support Manager / Admin Assistants providing support and supervision as required
* Liaison with clients to ensure timely receipt of information to allow accounts to be prepared, reviewed by the Client Director and submitted to clients in accordance with agreed timetables
* Visiting client sites to provide support to in-house bookkeepers and prepare management accounts
* Preparation of draft statutory accounts and supporting year-end schedules for review by the Client Director
* First point of contact for dealing with accounting queries from clients
* Checking payroll reports and ensuring payroll payments are set up on time
* Preparation of draft client VAT returns for review
* Preparation of monthly journals
* Design and set up of management reports tailored to client requirements
