Badenoch & Clark are currently recruiting for FTSE listed company based in Surrey. The role of Project & Reporting Accountant would suit a qualified Accountant with some post qualification experience and good knowledge of IFRS, proven experience of developing finance systems, work processes and MI.
Key responsibilities:
• Develop and implement on a BAU basis process and reporting changes arising from amendments to the regulatory and statutory environment with particular reference to IFRS.
• Ongoing development of enhancement of the Finance department accounting, reporting and analysis systems, work processes, financial tools and MI.
• Present technical and complex regulatory legislation and accounting reporting standards in succinct format, drawing out the most salient points to enable senior management to quickly assimilate the key issues and impacts.
• Work closely with the Financial Strategy and Corporate Development Manager and Systems Accountant to help develop financial reporting and analysis to better serve the business in a PLC environment.
• As requested by senior management, undertake ad hoc financial investigations or projects to support and provide enhanced understanding of financial implications of management decisions and actions.
• Assist with the preparation of Board papers and presentations on all of the areas defined above.
• Recommend improvements to existing systems, processes and reporting across the finance team.
• Advise on business and financial implications of upstream statutory and regulatory change, including recommendation of actions.
Skills & Experience:
• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Detailed knowledge of IFRS
• Strong analytical ability
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing and presentations
• Proven ability to deliver change
