Now a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority, we are responsible for developing a geological disposal facility for the UK’s higher activity nuclear waste and providing radioactive waste management solutions, all part of a major and significant programme of activities.

About the role
Joining us at a key stage in the development of our organisation, this is a high profile role that you can make your own. You’ll engage with stakeholders across the organisation right up to senior executive level as you take charge of financial planning and budgeting as well as the provision of management accounting and performance reporting. You will also play a key part in securing our future funding by getting involved in the government Comprehensive Spending Review process. The challenges couldn’t be greater – or the chances to excel.
About the requirements
A qualified accountant with a degree in a relevant discipline and extensive experience as a management accountant, you will be keen to develop and use your existing skills and experience in a project management environment. You have strong numerical and analytical skills, proven experience of cost estimation to support lifetime planning and are up to date with specialist financial reporting tools as well as Excel, Word and Outlook. Equally you have the ability to think strategically and can demonstrate the flair for communication that this highly visible role demands.
