The position will be operating at a business unit level and is a key role within the finance function of Digital Healthcare covering: month-end reporting, management and statutory accounts as well as forecasting and budgeting.
The Company Accountant will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer, who works overseas; whilst there will be regular updates and quarterly face to face meetings with the CFO you will be working independently for the vast majority of the time.
Essential requirements
- Qualified accountant with 1-3 years post qualified experience (this is given for guidance only and all suitably qualified candidates would be considered)
- Strong IT skills (Microsoft Excel)
- Able to work in a team and on their own.
- Systems literate with good understanding of financial and other systems
- Self-starter with well-developed analytical skills
- Aspiring and self-sufficient
- Adaptable with a flexible approach to work
- Must have the confidence to challenge and be challenged
- Excellent communication skills at all levels
- Attention to detail
Desirable requirements
- Experience of technology/healthcare
- IFRS reporting experience
- General awareness of the key aspects of taxation, particularly payroll taxes and VAT.
Key Objectives
- Production of monthly management accounts including variance & trend analysis/investigation
- Development and monitoring of key performance indicators
- Production of monthly consolidated reports and reporting pack to parent company.
- Month end journal postings / Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with interim and year-end financial reporting to parent company.
- Assist with maintenance and improvement of internal financial controls
- Input into the preparation of the annual budgets and subsequent quarterly reforecasts
- Other duties as designated plus Ad hoc project work as required.
