Payroll Assistant

Our client is a leading arts charity looking for a payroll assistant to join their fun but driven team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world famous charity. The main responsibilities of the role will be the weekly and monthly payrolls of around 100 staff, handle routine enquiries from the Inland Revenue, Contributions Agency and employees' accountants, control accounts reconciliations, deductions on a monthly basis and to assist employees with tax queries.

The right person for this role will be experienced with the payroll procedure from start to finish, confident in talking to the HMRC and Inland Revenue regarding any issues that may arrive, have the ability to discuss payroll and tax related queries to employees who have no financial knowledge and whose English might not be their first language right up to the CEO of the business and have experience of using a payroll system in the past.

People skills and good communication skills are essential for this position. Previous charity experience is not essential for the role. Our client is willing to wait for the right person but the position is ready to fill immediately.
