Finance Director - German

One of Europe’s fastest growing telecoms providers is looking to hire a Finance Director to lead their German division, the biggest in the Group.

Reporting to the CFO based in London you will be responsible for ensuring the accounting, financial control and reporting function for Germany entities is executed correctly and is standardized across the Group.

The key aspects of the role will include:

• Managing all aspects of the German business’ statutory and management accounts and ensure adequate systems, processes and controls are in place to ensure the reliability of the financials to be delivered in a timely manner.
• Responsible for the ensuring the Accounts Receivable process which includes amongst others improving and controlling the sales order processing, maintaining credit control and controlling cash.
• Audit and banking relationships as well as Accounts Payable where the tight control on expenditure and subsequent prompt payment must be maintained
• Spotting business opportunity and working closely with the Commercial Director on the 5 year strategy.

The ideal candidate will be a Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA), with strong financial control and leadership experience. Prior experience of controlling and process implementation in an international company would be ideal for this role. A mobile/ telecoms background would be highly advantageous.This role can be based in London or German, but there will extensive travel to either country.
