Our client, a successful national company seeks a management accountant to join its team.
Your role is to support the Finance Manager in producing relevant financial information for the Management Team including preparation of monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, costing and other ad hoc reporting.
To help produce the monthly management accounts pack within the required timescales and deadlines.
To analyse financial data and maintain key report information
To reconcile financial information relating to key accounts on a regular basis
To monitor financial records to ensure compliance with corporate standards
To prepare and maintain detailed financial budget and forecast information and standards.
To act as a point of contact for purchase and sales order queries.
To handle external customer queries and submit claims
To liaise with shared service centre staff in the prompt resolution of queries.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS AND/OR BUDGET/REVENUE/COST RESPONSIBILITY
*Meet deadlines for claims, budgets, month end, year end and corporate returns.
*Operate to a high degree of accuracy.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS OR EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
*Part qualified or qualified by significant experience of working in a high pressure, high volume accountancy and finance department.
*Have an extensive understanding of processes to produce monthly accounts, journal posting, accounts reconciliation and evidence experience of extracting, analysing and presenting data.
SPECIAL SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES
*Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to a wide range of communication and learning styles.
*Ability to plan and organise workload and work under pressure to meet required targets and deadlines.
*High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
*Independent with the ability to take ownership and accountability for achieving targets and deadlines set.
*Strong computer skills including solid knowledge of a range of accounting packages and the Microsoft Office suite.
*Ability to travel to multiple locations independently.
