A real estate fund manager with a Pan-European open ended fund is looking for a senior fund accountant to join their team.
The Finance team is responsible for fund accounting investing in direct and indirect real estate funds. In order to further strengthen and develop a growing business, they are looking to recruit a fund accountant with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively and proactively within a dynamic and challenging environment.
The new hire will be in an inaugural position, and you will be a specialist on OEIC's; and you must have prior knowledge or experience of PAIF's
Accountabilities:
- Maintain complete and accurate accounting records on the accounting system and adequate back-up for all balances
- Provide financial information to IPD for calculation of performance returns
- Preparation and review of VAT returns
- Serving as a single point of contact for internal fund / asset managers, external property managers and other third parties e.g. auditors
- Assisting with the implementation of best practices in all aspects of fund accounting
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) (Newly qualified - 4 year PQE)
- Knowledge of real estate fund accounting would be preferable
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Salary: £60-70,000 + bonus + benefits.
