Robert Half Finance & Accounting are currently recruiting a newly created Financial Controller for their fast growth global client located in central Bristol.

Overview
This is a newly created role as a result of Robert Half's client securing a long term contract with a FTSE business. The scope of the contract covers Europe and US with divisions in 81 countries. This is a brand new venture for Robert Half's client and as a result sees the start of an exciting expansion for the group, into new markets.
Job purpose
To oversee and provide an effective and strategic management accountancy service to the division of responsibility. Ensuring contractual commitments are met and to assist in the development of the business and ensure a consistent return on investment. Provision of accurate and timely information to facilitate the efficient running of the division. Working closely with the CFO and key stakeholders/business unit leaders in various International locations across US and Europe to drive continuous improvement to processes and reporting, providing accurate and timely reporting and cash management including reconciliation of all transactions.
The successful applicant will be responsible for producing management accounts, budgets, forecast and other financial analysis to enable the business to make well informed decisions. As the role develops you will also work with business to provide commercial modelling for future potential opportunities.
Ensure contracts meets its financial obligations and take commercial responsibility for approximately £80m p.a. of total revenue generation.
Responsibilities
- Provide accurate, relevant and timely financial and management information to the business
- Coordination and preparation of monthly financial and management information to feed the divisional reporting pack;
- Ensuring that robust accounting reconciliation, validation and process controls are in place for the business;
- Ensure all costs are accurately recorded on time and invoiced as soon as possible. Report the correct level of cost value onto variance reports.
- Provide commercial modelling of both 'Business as Usual' and future opportunities in conjunction with the Business Leads.
- Ensure managers and site administration follow financial procedures in order to maintain records and that reporting to customer is accurate and relevant.
- In conjunction with the business, prepare and challenge monthly rolling forecasts, annual business unit budgets, quarterly re-forecasts and contract budgets.
- Attend senior management monthly meetings providing financial support to the CFO.
- Ad hoc project based work that maybe required as a result of business needs.
- Assist the other members of the finance department such that the team objectives are met.
Knowledge skills & experience
- Proven track record of working within a financial management environment
- A relevant finance qualification is essential (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Experience of working under own initiative as part of a small team
- Ownership of the control environment around processing transactional volumes
- Excellent knowledge and practice of enhancing internal processes and internal reporting / forecasting
- Computer literate. Highly proficient in the use of MS Excel, Access Dimensions experience would be an advantage but not essential.

Salary
£50,000 - £60,000 plus competitive benefits package.
