A fantastic opportunity to join Samaritans as Executive Director of Corporate Services based in head office in Ewell, Surrey.

Role description

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer your key responsibilities will include:

  • Key member of the Directorate taking full responsibility for finance, HR, IT, legal and risk management
  • Working closely with the CEO to assist in the development and delivery of Samaritans overall strategy '2015-2021'
  • Providing clear, progressive and motivational leadership across the general office and wider organisation maintaining and developing a collaborative culture
  • Developing and managing the strategic, business and budget planning processes and ensuring financial viability
  • Ultimate accountability to lead effective financial control and financial reporting.

 

Who we're looking for

You must be a CCAB Qualified Accountant with significant demonstrable experience of achievement at senior manager level in a commercial, public or voluntary organisation. You will have proven experience managing substantial budgets and finances and have ideally managed HR, IT and or Legal services.

Approachable with strong interpersonal skills, an analytical approach and a commercial mind, you will have proven ability to develop, implement and lead strategy in a growing and changing organisation.

Excellent influencing skills, strong emotional intelligence and delivering to high quality under pressure are all essential to be successful in this role.
