Our client is a rapidly growing, wholly owned subsidiary of an Aim listed PLC which holds a leading position in the market it operates in. With a turnover of £18million and 130 employees, the business has a clear vision and exciting growth plans.
The company is seeking to strengthen its senior management team by recruiting a commercially orientated Financial Controller. You will report into the Finance and Commercial Director and will have significant exposure to the senior leadership team. Managing a team of 5 you will be responsible for:
- Developing, maintaining and enhancing all financial controls, processes and systems, identifying any risks or weaknesses, creating effective solutions and then driving through and implementing value adding change
- Managing and overseeing financial and management reporting, budgeting & forecasting and company cash flow to agreed deadlines ensuring accurate and commercially value adding information is provided to key stakeholders
- Work closely with the Financial and Commercial Director and key stakeholders to support decision making and drive commerciality
- Manage key ad hoc projects as and when required including competitor analysis and introducing forward looking KPI’s and continual improvement of new MIS
The successful candidate will be a technically strong, qualified accountant with a proven track record of improving processes and controls and a desire and ability to drive commercial value. You will have prior experience of managing and leading a finance team, advanced excel skills and some exposure to systems implementation.
A confident self- starter, you will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships and have the credibility and emotional intelligence to work both cross functionally and with the senior management.
