SSC Transition Specialist-Fluent German

Our client is setting up a new finance Shared Service Centre to improve the efficiency of the finance function across the EMEA region and seeks to recruit a  Transition Lead  to be responsible for managing the successful transition of financial processing activities from local country, business stream and area finance teams to the new EMEA Finance SSC, on a wave by wave basis. Each wave might include one or more countries, depending upon their size and these roles will involve considerable travel plus working in more than one location.

The SSC Transition Lead will be responsible for coordinating and managing the transition of activities, across all  workstreams (including process, people, IT, facilities etc) and countries, working with the local countries, Business Streams and AFCs to:

• Manage stakeholders within the Finance function, countries and Business Streams to secure buy-in
• Review data cleansing requirements to facilitate the migration, ensure plans to achieve them are adequate/practical and successfully implemented
• Review any local modifications required to processes, systems and / or workarounds for the processes to meet local statutory, fiscal and legal requirements of each country in the migration wave.  Agree any exceptions with the core  Team.  Validate and achieve sign off on proposed changes by all stakeholders
• Review testing and validation of the process design for each country in the migration wave
• Apply agreed policies and procedures in a regional context for each migration
• Identify people impacted by the project and accommodate/communicate as relevant
• Agree the cut-over plan
• Co-ordinate the development and manage the knowledge transfer programme
• Co-ordinate resources required to support KT & training of new & existing staff from the finance function and business streams

Candidates will have experience of:

• working as a Project/Workstream Manager preferably in setting up Finance Shared Services
• leading and managing the transition of countries into a Shared Services Operation
• managing a project team of internal experts and SMEs

Note this role will require travel in the UK and to Europe.
