A part qualified Assistant Management Accountant is being recruited to join a leading business based in Chester.

Based in Chester, the business has led the way in its market for several years and has a global reach in over 20 countries. They have continually exceeded profit targets over the last couple of years and maintains its ambitious growth plans through both acquisitive and organic growth. Because of this growth, they now have a requirement for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their established team.

Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Assistant Management Accountant you will be accountable for providing accurate reporting of financial information and support senior management with day to day accounting requirements. Key duties will include:

• preparing the monthly management accounts including profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow
• variance analysis of costs and KPIs
• assisting in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
• ensuring financial controls and systems are in place
• ad hoc financial analysis as required by senior management team
• overseeing all transactional processing including accounts payable and receivable

Profile

The successful candidate needs to have:

• experience of working within a finance environment with demanding deadlines
• strong understanding of fundamentals of financial transactions processing ie. double entry bookkeeping, accruals and prepayments
• good interpersonal and communication skills
• strong attention to detail
• ability to work to own initiative with minimal supervision
• CIMA / ACCA part qualified and actively studying to gaining full qualification within next 12-18 months
