Our client, who is a growing charity, has undergone much change over the last few years and has a new strategic plan to take it into the future. They are now looking for an experienced financial manager to join their team as Head of Finance and Administration on a part-time basis to support the organisation in this exciting new phase.

Reporting to the Chief Executive as an integral member of the Senior Management Team, this position will oversee the finance and administrative functions within the organisation, playing a key role in agreeing budgets and identifying the financial and operational implications of new initiatives. On a day to day basis you will ensure all systems and processes are in place for the smooth running of the organisation and lead, develop and manage the team that delivers the Finance and Administration functions. You will also develop the annual budgets and ensure that these budgets and management accounts are consistently analysed and monitored.

Ideally, you will be a fully qualified accountant with experience of financial management in organisations with a diverse range of activities. Knowledge of charity finance management and accounting would also be a significant advantage as well as ability to prepare year end accounts for audit. You must have experience of managing a team of people and hands-on experience of Sage 50 and Sage Payroll. You will be an approachable and supportive manager with a positive, proactive attitude, happy to assist your team in order to achieve results. Persuasive communication skills with the ability to lead and influence positively is essential.
