Financial Planning Analyst

As a results of internal promotion an opportunity has arisen for a talented accountant to join this substantial listed Plc.  Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning you will provide a broad range of forward looking and analytical services to support the core activities of the business.  You specific responsibilities will include:

• Assist with the development of the Group's financial and strategic planning capabilities
• Responsibility for the medium term planning process
• Provision of insightful sensitivity and scenario modelling
• Input into producing high quality presentation materials for the Executive Committee
• Working closely with both operational and investment teams to ensure validity of projections
• Provide financial modelling support to the Corporate Finance team re: potential acquisitions & disposals
• Review and monitor major capital expenditure, investment / divestment projects
• Ad-hoc analysis as required

The successful candidate must possess the following attributes:

• Qualified accountant, c. 2 years PQE with strong academics
• Advanced Excel / financial modelling skills
• Strong analytically, good attention to detail
• Initiative, inquiring mind and the ability to have independence of thought

In addition, Transaction Support and/or Planning & Forecasting experience would be beneficial.
