Reporting into the Director of Finance, the Finance Controller will lead a team of 4 direct reports (and 10 indirect reports), heading up all aspects of management and financial accounting and financial planning & analysis.
This is a senior, management role within the business – you will directly engage with senior executive leadership and trustees in the provision of high-level financial information and key strategic financial business decision support.
Key Duties:
◦Production of all month-end, quarter end and year end accounts, for board representation
◦Full control of the day-to-day cash of the business including hands-on reconciliations
◦Overall control of the budget planning process (P & L) and related variance reporting / control issues
◦Preparation of three year business / financial plan
◦Presentation of all monthly results at Senior Management Meetings
◦Development of internal reporting systems and controls
◦Various ad-hoc finance and non-finance related projects
Key Experience:
◦Fully Qualified Accountant
◦Experience at a senior level, ideally with some of this being within a commercial or Not for Profit organisation / business
◦Have strong Financial Reporting and Controls experience
◦Proven leadership experience
◦Have a track record of managing and developing high-performing teams within a complex organisation.
◦Have experience contributing at a strategic level as part of a Senior Management Team.
◦Have interpersonal skills of the highest calibre and the ability to influence and challenge at all levels of a business.
