Financial Accountant

Cherry Professional are currently working alongside a Leicester based business within banking and financial services in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. This role will be a great opportunity for someone to join a business experiencing tremendous growth and change in supporting their financial reporting and accounting control processes.

Responsibilities:
Production of the monthly accounts and Board pack.
Facilitate the effective management of the company through supporting the analysis of business performance and cost control.
Manage the balance sheet control process, ensuring ownership of all general ledger accounts,
Support the management of the General Ledger.
Review Sales and Purchase Ledger entries to ensure appropriate journals are posted.
Assist with the preparation of the annual Budget.
Support in the preparation of Annual Statutory accounts.
Support the Audit processes for both Internal and External Audit.
Production of any tax related reports.

Essential criteria:
A qualified accountant or studying towards qualification.
Experience of a monthly close process, accruals and prepayments
Some knowledge of IFRS reporting
Experience of analysing company financial data and report production
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
