The role

Reporting to the Finance & Systems Analyst, the Assistant Commercial Finance Analyst will be responsible for supporting the companies’ revenue activities, ensuring accurate accounting and reporting systems are in place. You will also ensure that all systems support the required processes and are monitored effectively.

Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting on the company’s revenue activities, ensuring that accurate accounting and reporting is adhered to in line with best practice.
  • Making sure that that all systems support the required processes and are monitored effectively
  • Understanding operational movement and any variances
  • Reporting on consumable spend
  • Manipulating financial data
  • Reporting on revenue and direct cost information
  • Supporting divisions to maximise revenue
  • Reporting on Growth margin – movement against targets
  • Assisting in implementing costing models

The individual

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be part qualified OR newly qualified –  CIMA
  • Possesses strong reporting skills – Excel
  • Be able to demonstrate good analysis skills – forecasting & demand planning
  • Have the ability to manipulate financial data
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of the supplies system
  • Be adept at gathering and reporting on data
  • Possess good attention to detail skills

The Kent Institute of Medicine & Surgery (KIMS) is an independent, clinician-led and part clinician owned facility.  After five years in the making our £95m, seven acre private hospital opened its doors in April 2014. Part-owned and operated by prominent consultants and surgeons, KIMS is supported by an excellent management team. It’s a modern, purpose built, ‘one stop’ hospital facility.

Our state-of-the art hospital consists of five major operating theatres within a spacious, well designed suite, two endoscopy suites, two interventional suites, 72 single room in-patient beds seven of which are chemotherapy rooms, 20 day case beds, seven ITU and HDU beds, 17 consulting rooms and six outpatient treatment rooms, a comprehensive imaging suite imaging suite including research grade MRI &CT modalities, nuclear medicine and cardiology diagnostic services. We also have an in-house sterilisation and scope processing service, in-house pathology, 60 clinician offices and a post graduate education centre. 

Specialties include major orthopaedic surgery, neurosurgery, cardiology & cardiac care, spinal, upper and lower GI, hepatobilary, gynaecology, ENT, breast care and cancer care.
