FT | IE Corporate Learning Alliance is a new joint venture providing premium custom learning for business leaders across Europe, Asia, North and Latin America. The partnership connects the academic excellence of IE Business School with the journalism expertise of the Financial Times.
The Board is looking to strengthen its management team by appointing a ‘hands on’, commercially focused Finance Director. Reporting into the CEO, this individual will be will be responsible for establishing the new shape of finance and driving ‘double digit’ growth across international territories. Key deliverables will include:
- Forming a collaborative relationship with the CEO and management team to business partner on financial and commercial issues
- Developing and maintaining of all financial processes, reporting requirements and implementation of a new accounting system that is fit for purpose
- Taking the lead role in all management and statutory accounting responsibilities along with full accountability for audit, tax and robust corporate governance
- Driving a range of ad hoc projects including competitor analysis, review of key supplier contracts, shareholder reporting requirements and other projects as required
- Recruiting and managing a lean finance function
A confident self-starter, you will have a proven track record of developing and building strong relationships and have the credibility to work both cross functionally and with the senior management team. You will have an entrepreneurial approach coupled with an ability to drive business thinking and will enjoy a collegiate, change oriented and fast paced environment.
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant who has business partnered at Board level within an SME organisation. You will possess a ‘hands on’ finance management background, ideally from an international environment with B2B sector experience.
