Management Accountant
(Development & Enterprises)
Full time, 35 hours per week
Fixed term contract for 4 months
Based at 30 Euston Square, London NW1
Salary: circa £42,000 per annum (pro rata)
The Royal College of General Practitioners is an academic body whose aim is to encourage and maintain the highest possible standards of patient care in general practice. The College is one of the foremost primary care organisations in the UK. It has recently moved to a new prestigious Headquarters building at 30 Euston Square.
The College has attained substantial growth both in Membership and Income over the last decade. Our membership stands at over 50,000 whilst income has increased to £39.7m. This makes us the largest medical royal college by income and membership and amongst the top 350 charities by income in the UK.
The move to the new building enables the College to realise its commercial potential and to continue to harness its operations in a business like manner. It also brings financial challenges to manage its charitable activities whilst developing its commercial arm.
We will look to the Development & Enterprises Management Accountant, to work with the Executive Director, Development/Managing Director Enterprises and the Finance Manager (Management Accounts) to provide financial management in all areas. In addition you will provide technical advice to senior managers, budget holders and budget managers, anticipating demands, responding to changing priorities and achieving agreed results.
Your impressive record in a similar Management Accountant role should reflect that you have extensive experience of working in the Charity Sector as well as exposure in the commercial sector. Well versed in Trading Subsidiary finances and charity related accounting and tax legislation, you are skilled at supporting and training budget managers in financial and business management.
ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified with high-level excel, analytical and problem solving skills, you will have extensive experience of having managed, budgets, forecasts, developing business plans and driving continuous improvement.
