Based in Thame, Oxfordshire, our global client seeks a interim qualified accountant to join them as Supply Chain Finance Manager.

This job would suit an ACA, CIMA or ACCA Qualified accountant to be responsible for setting up new reporting and processes across the Supply Chain function - a critical part of this company's business.

The business is a highly regarded FMCG business in Thame with numerous operations globally and currently experiencing some excellent results in a very competitive sector.

The role will be responsible for supporting the continued growth in the business through the implementation and development of the commercial issues, reporting and finance processes for the supply chain function in line with overseas head office objectives. This will require a confident communicator to act as main partner with the Supply Chain part of the business.

The successful individual will be an immediately available ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant with experience of working in the FMCG, Retail, Food or other similar fast paced environment where supply chain is a major focus for the business. Experience of working with supply chain will be very important as will key skills in management accounting, analysis, financial planning or finance business partnering.

Duties will include:

  • Implement strong annual budget and strategic planning processes for the Supply Chain team.
  • Drive continued improvement in reporting, forecasting and issue resolution.
  • Set up and tailor Ensure that the Supply Chain Teams are fully aware of performance against target (good analytical commentary) and any issues that may impact this (no surprises).
  • Evaluate scenarios for profit improvement plans and, cost changes and other requests.
  • Evaluate capital proposals providing financial analysis and clear rationale for expenditure.
  • Work with the Supply Chain team to set up and evaluate specific commercial/operational propositions and provide recommendations
  • Support any Supply Chain project initiative with financial analysis and provide liaison between key project team members and Finance.
