Our Client is looking for a strong technical accountant to assist with year end and a number of internal projects. Supporting the Group Financial Controller, the successful candidate will have solid IFRS reporting skills and previous experience of Hyperion. Likely to be 3-6 months starting early January.
Job Description:
• Monthly consolidation and preparation of management accounts and reporting including UK and overseas trading and non-trading companies
• Business analysis of Group and divisional performance against strategic objectives, forecast and budget
• Statutory accounts reporting at year end and half year
• Responsibility for Group budgeting and forecasting and preparation of strategic review
• Accounting and reporting support for rest of Group
• Liaising with other Group functions such as tax and treasury
• Working on ad-hoc special strategic and financial projects
• Liaising with auditors and other advisors on projects
Skills/Experience:
• Qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
• Experience of working in Group finance functions
• Good knowledge of IFRS, listed company experience and strong technical accounting ability
• Strong communication skills
• Thorough approach with high level of accuracy and numeracy
• Strong excel skills
• Good organisational skills and an ability to prioritise
• Ability to work under pressure and capable of managing numerous work streams simultaneously
• Results orientated
