Financial Accountant

Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for a qualified Financial Accountant to join a growing and exciting charity based in London.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be tasked to lead the accounting processes for the monthly management accounts and be a key member in the production of year-end statutory accounts as well as providing assurance on the operation of balance sheet financial controls and restricted funding. The role will lead the production and posting of accruals and prepayments for month end in conjunction with the Purchase Ledger Manager and the Finance Business Support team as well as control and produce a monthly reconciliation of the balances between the legal entities that make up the group. Lead, manage and monitor the Assistant Financial Accountant ensuring that they are recruited, inducted, trained, supervised and appraised in line with policies and procedure, whilst ensuring service provision is delivered within an efficient, effective and quality framework.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant who processes strong communications skills with the ability to build rapport in a warm and engaging, approachable but challenging manner. This is a key role in the finance department, reporting to the Financial Controller, managing the management accounts processes, controlling the balance sheet and being a main player in the year-end, audit and annual accounts production.
