ABRSM is the exam board of the Royal Schools of Music.  We are committed to actively supporting high-quality music-making, learning and development throughout the world, and to producing the best possible resources for music teachers and students.  As the world’s leading music exam board, we deliver over 650,000 exams every year in 93 countries.  In addition, we provide a rich range of resources for teachers and students including music publications, recordings and professional development courses and workshops. To build on more than 120 years of inspiring generations of musicians, we work with a variety of organisations in the UK and around the world, providing donations, scholarships and sponsorship.

Reporting to the Head of Financial Management you will act as a business partner assisting budget holders by highlighting critical issues and ensuring that they fully understand the key drivers of their area of business. Regular reporting will include management accounts, cost reports, forecasts and budgets. You will also provide analysis to assess new initiatives and provide decision making support. The role will also provide the scope to support your manager and the Finance and Systems Manager to implement and develop new systems and processes and to assist across finance as and when required.

You will be a qualified accountant possessing the excellent communication skills needed to interpret information for non-financial stakeholders. The role will require significant engagement with non-financial managers in the UK and our international representatives, as well as colleagues across finance.  You will have experience of working in a similar management reporting role for a complex organisation, and have excellent systems skills including advanced excel skills. A commitment to ensuring that process efficiencies are delivered will also be a key requirement.
