Join us as a Statutory Accounts Manager ......

You will be an expert on UK Accounting and Indirect Tax requirements.The Statutory Account Manager shall ensure completion of the UK GAAP statutory accounts on a timely basis and in agreement with the external auditors and report submissions to HMRC and other external authorities including VAT, ensuring compliance to legal rules & regulations

Key Responsibilities: 
• Advisor on UK VAT and Accounting rules to HUK Finance community and other interested parties (e.g. Supply Chain Hub UK VAT, European HQ UK Stat reporting, Scalable Service teams) 
• Implement and manage monthly reconciliation process to convert US to UK GAAP on a monthly basis via non leading ledger 
• Completion of the statutory accounts for the 13 legal entities (including 4 dormant entities) in line with MBO completion targets, including conversion of trial balance from US to UK GAAP 
• To supervise the completion and submission of the VAT returns for HUK GB VAT registration in line with MBO requirements 
• Ownership of 7 holding or dormant entities for US and UK reporting (including review all transactions and balance sheet reconciliations) 
• Assist with review and potential choice and implementation of Statutory accounts conversion software. Standardise where appropriate ALL UK statutory accounting (incl EHQ) and promote synergy and process improvement 
• Oversee UK&I intercompany balances and meeting of global matching requirements

Job requirements
Skills & Experience
• Relevant accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA etc)
• Strong team player with good interpersonal skills
• Initiative, Self starter, Eager to learn
• Good SAP and Excel skills
• Experience of preparing Statutory accounts from TB under UK GAAP
• Up to date knowledge of UK GAAP (and preferably US GAAP and IFRS) will be an added advantage
