We are currently looking to hire a programme accountant to work for a top financial services company in the Surrey area. This role is for a programme accountant to work on a large change programme for a top financial services company where you will be responsible for Tracking and Managing the financial progress of the programme.

Programme Accountant Key responsibilities

• Budget management - track actual and projected spend against budget, in total by cost type, identifying variances, key drivers and implications for future spend.
• Programme Reporting - to collect and collate information from a large change programme to present a consistent and accurate view of the status of the project, supporting resource allocations and management decision making.
• Benefits realisation - To track progress against target efficiencies, ensuring the project delivers on the targets set out in the business case.
• Programme Budget - to assist in maintaining the annual development programme budget and provide accurate and timely management information on variances and trends.

Programme Accountant Key skills/experience

• Proven track record in tracking and reporting project financials
• Ability to analyse large amounts of data and identify the salient facts.
• Able to build working relationships with managers
• Strong Excel skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Project
• Qualified Accountant (e.g. CIMA, ACCA)
