Our client, a small company based in South Devon is looking to recruit a part time Qualified Accountant to join the team on a permanent basis.
You will have control of all areas of the finance function from budgets to accounts whilst ensuring that all financial requirements are met.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, responsibilities include:
- Preparation of annual accounts & financial statements
- Preparation of management accounts
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Regular cash flow forecasts and other financial reports
- Variance analysis
- Manage the company's balance sheet to optimise cash position
- Preparation of VAT return
- Carry out regular reconciliations of bank balances and balance sheet accounts
- Responsible for Sales- and Purchase ledger
- Manage petty cash, credit card & other staff expenses
- Ensure accounting books and records are properly kept to meet internal, legal and tax requirements
- Respond to internal requests for accounting information
- Responsible for payroll & associated returns
- Any other agreed duties
Experience/Skills:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified
- Previous experience working in a SME company
- Previous experience in similar role, hands on finance professional.
- Excellent IT Skills
