Salary Range:             £55K-£80K + benefits. Commensurate with qualifications and experience

SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

The UK Finance Controller will be responsible for the financial statements for the Band-It LTD entity. Band-It LTD is based in Staveley but sells across Europe and the Middle East.This person will also be responsible for consolidating and reporting our Southeast Asia sales. This person will be a key member of the management team and will be expected to provide guidance to the team to best utilize their resources, maximize profit and ensure efficient utilization of working capital.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Will be a business partner that can help guide the business by providing good data and analytics to drive the right long term decision.
  • Leads the preparation and coordination of all financial reporting requirements to Band-It and IDEX including but not limited to profit walks, forecasts, commercial and manufacturing analysis.
  • Develops and manages the departmental budget and supports the development and management of budgets for all departments in the European business.
  • Manages the team to deliver in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash flow, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, financial reporting, tax compliance, other areas of general accounting concern.
  • As a Management Team member contributes to the development and implementation of the overall business plan for Band-It UK. Assists in development of short and long-term objectives for the business.  Engages and aligns the organisation to meet key objectives through effective implementation, planning, regular follow up and countermeasures.
  • Leads the team to improve, automate, and streamline current accounting and reporting procedures to maximize the contribution to the overall corporate strategic and business goals.
  • Ensure the accurate and timely completion of all government tax related requirements ensuring compliance at all times
  • Maintains robust internal controls and ensures adherence to the IDEX Corporate Policies related to finance. Develops and implements local policy for financial control and treasury functions as appropriate.
  • Responsible for recruiting, motivating, retaining and developing top talent through effective hiring, coaching, development and mentoring.
  • Presentation of financial reports to Band-It senior management and town hall meetings

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 5+ years of progressive finance experience in a manufacturing environment with cost accounting experience
  • Strong knowledge of MRP systems (JDE preferred)
  • Fully conversant with UK statutory reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of US reporting requirements
  • Knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley desirable
  • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to lead and influence employees that don’t directly report to position

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

4 year Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
