Robertson Bell finance are currently working for a large and well known housing association based in London, with a turnover in excess of £200m and an excellent reputation for employee satisfaction. They are looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic Service Charge Accountant to join their friendly but results focused team.
The Service Charge Accountant is very much a varied role, you will be responsible for all service charge related matters, right from; maintaining the service charge accounts through to dealing with service charge queries from tenants, therefore the right person will need to be dynamic and adaptable to change. Main responsibilities include; setting up service charge contracts, reporting on service charge performance, ensure timely payment of all invoices, journal entries, liaise with auditors for all service charge related matters and prepare budgets and forecast date on service charge. You will also, complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations, assist with posting of cash and other rent income journals and you will deliver training to the wider finance team to ensure they are making best use of the service charge system.
The successful candidate will have gained previous experience in a similar role for a complex organisation and will have a high level of numerical and literacy skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels. Candidates from all sectors are highly welcomed.
