Save the Children is the world's leading independent organisation for children. We save children's lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfil their potential. We work in over 120 countries, with local communities, national governments, international institutions and the public sector to achieve immediate and lasting change.

We are currently recruiting for two Financial Accountant roles to be based in our London office, near Trafalgar Square. We have a permanent and a 6 month fixed term contract opportunity.

In these roles you will partner with our members to account for an income in excess of US$1billion. You'll create accurate and timely financial claims, monthly debt statements and complete multi-currency reconciliations, working closely with stakeholders across functions and in various countries across the world. You will also contribute to the preparation and analysis of our balance sheet reporting and financial statements.

To be successful in these roles you will be a qualified accountant and have either demonstrable experience of working in a similar role (in the private or ngo sector), or come from practice. You'll be results oriented and used to working to tight deadlines while applying a high level of attention to detail; you will also bring strong problem solving skills and a track record of ensuring continuous improvement. It would be beneficial, though is not essential, if you have knowledge of SORP and UK/International GAAP and legal requirements, along with conversational French or Spanish.

We offer: a competitive salary, a generous company pension scheme, life assurance, and 30 days annual leave.

When applying, please submit your CV and cover letter as one document, and include details of your current remuneration and salary expectations for this role. Please do also confirm if you would be happy to be considered for both opportunities, or if you have a preference.

We need to keep children safe so our selection process reflects our commitment to the protection of children from abuse.
