Save the Children is the world's leading independent organisation for children. We save children's lives; we fight for their rights; we help them fulfil their potential. We work in over 120 countries, with local communities, national governments, international institutions and the public sector to achieve immediate and lasting change.

We are currently seeking a Cost Allocation and Effort Reporting Project Manager to be based in our London office, near Trafalgar square. The role is offered on the basis of a 9 month fixed term contract, with the possibility of extension.

In this key role you will be leading on and providing technical oversight to a project which will deliver priority organisational goals; improving efficiency, effectiveness and productivity and the mitigation of risks. You'll step in to manage a project already in flow and take the reins to fulfil the project plans; ensuring that stakeholders are engaged and bought in, the cost allocation methodology solution is designed and simplified for ease of implementation, that colleagues across the movement are consulted and all implications accounted for, that guidance and procedures are in place, and that an implementation and roll out approach is designed and in place.

To be successful in this role you will be a qualified accountant experienced with financial processes, ideally in an international context, with a proven ability to deliver to a high level in a fast paced and complex environment with high levels of change and quick turnaround times. You'll bring a solution and results orientated approach with excellent planning, management and coordination skills. You will also be willing to travel internationally, up to 20%, to Save the Children offices. Experience of delivering donor effort reporting requirements for an international NGO, an understanding of the donor compliance requirements and eligible costs, cost allocation project management experience and Agresso knowledge and experience are all highly desirable.

We offer: a competitive salary, a generous company pension scheme, life assurance, and 30 days pro-rated annual leave.

When applying please submit your CV and cover letter as one document and include details of your current remuneration and salary expectations within this role.

We need to keep children safe so our selection process reflects our commitment to the protection of children from abuse.
