Our client is a digital agency based in central London specialising in luxury and premium brands. Due to recent growth they are looking to recruit a management accountant to join the London team.  

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the main duties and responsibilities include:

  • The management of all accounting and assisting of all operational functions of the company.
  • Production of monthly account packs (P&L, Balance Sheets and Profitability analysis), with commentary, variance and KPI analysis, for review and discussion with management team, directors & shareholders.
  • Monthly forecasting with management team along with assisting with the annual budgets.
  • Monthly balance sheet analysis and reconciliations including accruals, prepayments, deferred & accrued revenue, etc as well as bank reconciliations for a number of accounts, in various currencies.
  • Weekly and monthly cash flow analysis and discount management with the bank.
  • Lead quarterly bank audit as well as play a key role in the annual financial audit.
  • Financial input into new business proposals, tenders & company business plan.
  • Full control of payables functions include processing of invoices and expenses, reconciling accounts, payment runs, etc
  • Assist with other operational duties such as HR, IT and office management.

Candidate attributes

  • Ideally from an agency background, i.e. publishing, advertising, digital, design PR, etc.  Other sectors will be considered.
  • 4+ years of management accounts experience plus experience of other finance functions.
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or currently studying.
  • Pro-active, attention to detail, practical and keen.  Someone who is not afraid to get their hands dirty and get involved in other operational and ad-hoc duties if required.
  • Knowledge and experience of Sage 200 and online banking facilities would be very useful.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
