A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Accountant to join a highly renowned Arts venue in central London.

The purpose of the role is to assist and support the Senior Financial Accountant in ensuring that the organisations financial records are accurate and complete. You will help to ensure that finance systems, processes and controls are operating efficiently and effectively.

Key responsibilities will include:

Draft the financial statements for the Museum and its associated entities preparing supporting schedules and liaising with the auditors

Prepare management reports and other ad-hoc reports for the associated charities

Accounting for and reporting on the Museum’s investment portfolio (including associated charities).

Prepare the weekly and monthly cashflow forecasts and monitor the organisations daily cash balances, investing surplus funds in line with parameters.

To prepare statutory DCMS returns, VAT returns & assist in Corporation Tax returns

The successful candidate will be a finalist or newly qualified financial accountant (ACA, ACCA, and CIMA)

With solid financial accounting skills with an understanding of SORP accounting together with exposure to a group accounting environment and able to demonstrate the transferable skills required.

Hands-on experience of MS Dynamics NAV (or similar) combined with strong Excel skills (preferably up to macro level)

Have the Ability to present complex financial information, simply, in reports and presentations to both a financial and non-financial staff members

Responsible and professional attitude to work, with a conscientious and meticulous approach
