An established business in the heart of Manchester city centre is currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk. This role is to start ASAP and is a 3 month temporary to permanent position, so please get in touch if you have the relevant experience.

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be supporting the day-to-day running of the Finance Department and helping achieve the financial objectives of the company.

You will be responsible for, but not limited to:

-Managing supplier payments, from receipt through to the processing of invoices.
-Taking responsibility for uploading of BACs payments into online banking and raising cheque payments.
-Coding invoices received and filing paid invoices.
-Answering the telephone and dealing with queries from staff and external suppliers.
-To assist external auditors as and when required.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently, using self-initiative, as well as within a team. You must have a working knowledge of the Purchase Ledger and be able to demonstrate at least 2 years' experience of working in a finance role. Experience of Sage Financial Systems is also desirable, but not essential. You must also be a part or fully qualified AAT practitioner level or equivalent experience/training. Good communication skills and the ability to prioritise and manage several tasks at the same time are also required.
