Senior Financial Accountant - SOX

Badenoch & Clark are working with a market leading retail business located in Reigate for the recruitment of a Senior Financial Accountant. This is an exciting opportunity working for a fast paced and vibrant organisation with an opportunity to further their career.

Due to the nature of the role you must match the following:

- ACCA, CIMA or ACA qualified
- Must have experience of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX)

Key responsibilities

*Responsible for SOX
oForming relationship with the entity's Control Owner and Process Owner, FD, MD and External Auditors
oAssisting EIAD in co-ordinating meetings with the business including Control Owners, Process Owners, FD and MD
oReviewing PGP to ensure controls tested by Control Owners are performed on time
oThe first point of contact for Control and Process Owners when issues are noted
oCommunicating issues noted by the business to EIAD timely
oAssisting in the remediation of control deficiency
oThe main contact for external auditors and ensuring that issues noted are communicated to Management and EIAD timely.
oOverall, supporting the adoption, refinement and awareness of internal control across the entity and providing ongoing support to the business.
oResponsible for the following balance sheet accounts, ensuring compliance with CEMIS and external regulations for trade debtors, accrued revenue, other debtors, prepayments, cash, long term loans, trade creditors, other creditors, accruals, investments, intercompany, payroll and expenses
oResponsible for the cashier and intercompany functions
oEnsure compliance with European policies , external accounting regulations and procedures for financial transactions and reporting.
oPreparation and maintenance of process notes
oDevelopment of team - objective setting, mentoring, training, providing feedback and conducting reviews
oManagement of team - prioritising and managing workload
oDeputise for the Financial Accounts Manager where necessary
oProvide support to other SFA as and when required
