Accountant

An international Blue Chip Retail company are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their team. The offices are based in the Surrey area, this is a contract role for 3 months that will then become permanent. The business is in the process of restructuring and currently has a lot of project work on the go.  This is an opportunity to work for a well-known brand who are recruiting for this role as a result of extensive growth within the business.

On a day to day basis, you will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be working in a direct team of 10.  The business is looking for someone that is technically sound and can produce a full set of management accounts, as well as having statutory accounting experience. Your duties will be as follows:

• Producing the monthly management accounts
• Posting journals
• Inter-company invoices
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Sales ledger
• Prepayments/ accruals
• Statutory accounts
• Process improvements
• VAT returns
• Supporting adhoc project work

The successful candidate will be qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA) or a finalist that is looking to progress within the business.  Experience working in a global company is beneficial as you will be liaising with non- finance internationally.  SAP would be ideal but is not essential. This role is to start ASAP and therefore you must be immediately available or on short notice in order to be considered.  The role is paying up to £40,000 FTC and will have a view to go permanent.
