Who we are looking for
• You will be a qualified accountant.
• Have extensive technical experience of implementing an ERP system (Essential).
• Have strong transformation experience
• Have excellent communication and stakeholder management experience. (Essential)
• Lead improvement of systems use across Finance to enable the function to deliver services at lower cost, reducing time and capacity consumed in downtime and processing.
• Ensure the implementation of the Enterprise Resource Planning is aligned to the service improvement objectives of the Finance function and that service continuity is maintained during implementation.
• Ensure successful decommissioning of legacy systems, implementation / interfacing of specialist systems.
• Support the delivery of current and future programmes and initiatives to meet their strategic and financial aims
• Develop a performance culture, collaborating with leaders across relevant Directorates to facilitate transformational change whilst acting as a role model with regards to all of the values and behaviours of the organization.
• Provide effective visible leadership to your team ensuring that services are delivered within a positive and performance focused environment
• Ensure the ongoing professional development of the team encouraging individuals to set challenging objectives, work with and learn from one another and promote this ethos widely
• Maintain a comprehensive and up to date knowledge of all relevant legislation, procedures and current and emerging best practice for the area of responsibility and ensure that the organisation meets all of its statutory, regulatory and contractual obligations
• Maintain accurate and effective communication with your line manager (to include the provision of reports and presentations) ensuring that they are regularly appraised of planned changes and developments
• Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the individual businesses and their related objectives, and be informed of their risks, challenges and the impact of regulatory changes
